Our THICKEN-IT™ product is specifically designed to be used with mixed JESMONITE®. It will not work in epoxy resin.
When added to the JESMONITE® mix, thicken-it does exactly what it says on the bottle - it makes the JESMONITE® mix thicker and more like a gel. This means that you can apply JESMONITE® to domed and curved surfaces without it running off. Magic! The beauty of this magic elixir for JESMONITE® is that it also prevents any reinforcements, such as our quadaxial fabric and chopped strands, from showing on the face of your finished masterpiece. Great for use in inlaid jewellery!
Thicken-itcan also be used with JESMONITE® to create a paste, which can then be used as a repair filler, or as a bonding material to join two pieces.
- 50ml JESMONITE® Thixotrope - in a recyclable plastic container with dropper lid
- This should be added to the already mixed JESMONITE®
- Add drop by drop until the desired consistency is achieved
