Our ‘Wonky Stock’ is home to anything and everything that just didn’t quite make the cut but is nevertheless in perfect working order and therefore just too good for us to put to one side! Here you can get your hands on some great offers with up to 70% off on our wonderful wonky stock!

This Feeling Blue? Agate Geode Quarters Coaster Mould makes four lovely coasters, which fit together to make a large circular placemat. Use our HEAT-RESIST™ resin (which can withstand temperatures of up to 90oC) to fill this unique mould.

  • Dimensions: 210mm diameter x 210mm x 5mm depth.
  • This mould takes approximately 200ml of resin or 340g of JESMONITE® to fill.

Imperfection: Unlike its clear sister Agate Geode Quarters Coaster Mould, this silicone mould is blue which can make using this mould a little trickier to see your creation while in the mould for those with more complex and detailed designs, e.g. placement of flowers. But other than that is perfectly functioning and the same as our clear silicone one!

We think you might be searching for mold (if you're American) or moldes (if you're Spanish) and even silcone or mild (if you've mispselt it) so we hope you will find what you're looking for now!

If you're using these moulds to make coasters, we recommend that you fill your edges and then add a 3mm thick clear layer of HEAT-RESIST™ resin first in your mould. Let it set and then add more resin with colour, ink, glitter, flowers etc. Once turned out, what was the bottom will be the top and heat-resistant up to 90oC! Remember that our HEAT-RESIST™ resin needs 21 days to achieve full cure, so don't place a hot cup on it too early.

If using to make a JESMONITE® coaster, remember to seal the coaster before use with PROTECT-IT™ sealant to make it less porous.

How to look after your new mould: top tips from the Resin8® team

Our silicone moulds can be used multiple times - to get the very best resin results it is important to care for them perfectly. Keep your mould in the bag it comes to you in and store carefully. Moulds do not like to be stacked or kept contained in a box with other items, this will result in the mould losing its shape. Moulds that are more complex to demould from will not last as long as straightforward, plain moulds.

It is best to use a heat tool such as an embossing craft gun to rid bubbles from your creations, naked flames can damage the outer edges of your mould. Take extra care when de-moulding your creation, pay special attention to not scratch the interior of your mould with long fingernails.

Any residue left in your mould once you have finished using it can be brushed out with a soft bristled brush such as a watercolour paint brush. Do not use sticky tape to de-tack dust, fluff or glitters - doing this will remove the interior shine within your mould.

If your casting comes out dull it could be that the mould has come to the end of its life (or that the mould doesn't have a shiny interior surface). You can keep using moulds that are past their best - it just takes a little more effort. Add a thin layer of resin to the casting or use polish and a cloth to bring up the shine.
